Born a couple of months before the Romanian Revolution, Alex Ciorogar usually writes book reviews and articles for Romanian literary magazines/journals, but he also coedited two volumes of critical analysis dedicated to the first Romanian novel. Having signed studies published in collective volumes, he participated in a number of national and international conferences. While studying English and Romanian as an undergraduate, his interests expanded turning to Comparative Literature, Cultural Studies and Critical Literary Theory, thus holding two MA degrees. His current research interests include, but are not limited to: Contemporary Literary Theory (especially French Literary Studies), Life-Writing (biography, autobiography, auto-fiction), Aesthetics and The Contemporary Condition of The Author (Authorship Studies).
